Part time Optometrist Job, Highbury

Excellent new prospect for long term locum Optom role working with superb fully independent practice near to Highbury in North London.

Our highly established and passionate client offers exceptional working conditions with diverse product range and client base where you will be given the freedom to offer a personally tailored level of service and recommendations that are bespoke to the individual's lifestyle.

Working on a part time basis including regular Wednesdays and alternate Saturdays only, you should be a confident clinician with strong product knowledge and passion for optics, 3 years' experience +, happy to work as sole Optom with full DO support, proficient in utilising OCT and ideally already MECs registered.

In return for your services, you will receive a fixed rate of £325 per day and great professional freedom including test times 45 minutes+ for over 40's (including own pre-screen) and relaxed fully independent patient focussed environment

Part time long term / ongoing self-employed contract requiring every Wednesday and alternate Saturdays (max 3 Saturdays if 5-week month) working with fully independent team.

Our client has invested to offer exceptional working conditions with full access provided to OCT, Henson fields, Optix digital records system, Eyecare Tonometer and trial frames in addition to extensive high end product range.

Practice is keen to offer diverse clinical services and already participating in trials of eye disease treatments and MECS scheme soon to be introduced so would be of great benefit if new Optom already registered.

Key Duties

* Working as sole tester in bespoke independent practice with lots of time to spend with clients: 45-minute tests for over 40's, 30 minutes if under 40 years old and 1 hour if it is a lens and sight test appointment
* The successful candidate should be willing to get involved in all areas of the business coming out of the test room to spend time with colleagues and client's etc and take interest in all areas of practice operations
* Working hours 10am-6pm on Wednesday and 10am-5pm Saturday with 30-minute lunch
* Optom should be proactive to make Optom led product recommendations via lifestyle focussed patient journey

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

* 3 years + minimum post qualified experience
* Right to work in the UK
* Fully GOC and NHS registered
* OCT experience essential
* MECS accreditation much preferred
