Looking for a new place of work with a great team.This practice located in the Balham area of London, are in need of a Dental Nurse, to work in a mixed clinic.

Starting ASAP ideally

This position is to work on a Full time basis. Working from Monday to Friday.

Working hours:

Monday 8.30 am - 5.00 pm
Tuesday 8.30 am - 7.00 pm
Wednesday8:30 am - 5.00 pm
Thursdays 8.30 am - 5.00 pm
Fridays 8.00 am - 4.30 pm

Duties vary from:

-Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instrument clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturer’s instructions.
-Ensure the surgery start up and end of day routine is followed and completed daily.
-Provide chair side assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available.
-Ensure the care and welfare of patients.
-Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed.
-Handle any substances in accordance with Health and safety policies.
Be familiar and comply with CQC outcomes, all Health and safety rules & guidance, including PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control and waste disposal.
-Maintain up to date records of the autoclave and ensure test our carried out and recorded every morning.
-Ensure the sterilisation room is organised and clean as per HTM 01 05.
-Develop radiographs for the dentist.
-Complete and send laboratory request forms and ensure the lab work is returned in time for patient appointment.
-Ensure adequate stock of materials and other items within the surgery.
-Ask the designated person to order new stock supplies as necessary.
-Ensure computer records are accurately maintained and securely stored.
-Liaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communication.
-Attend and participate in practice meetings.
-Undergo training as maybe required to develop skill and abilities.
-Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR
-Act in accordance to practice rules and code of conduct.
-Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice.
-During the day if there is a gap due to cancellation utilise the time to organise surgery, help other staff members, update your knowledge of HTM 0105 and 16 CQC outcomes.

4 Modern surgeries, equipped, computerised. using SOE

All candidates must be fully qualified and GDC registered, with practice experience.

Hourly rate DOE, discussed at interview. However the starting rate is £11+

Closest station to the clinic is Balham.
