If you're an outstanding Optometrist looking for an exceptional opportunity with one of Kent's most respectable independent optical practices, this could be the role for you.

This is the perfect opportunity for an Optometrist who thrives within a close-knit team and is enthusiastic about improving their own clinical knowledge within the field of Optometry.

Key Duties

You will take on the role of principle Optometrist within a reputable and well-established independent practice, working as the sole tester on your working days.

This is a 4 day a week position with practice hours 9am-530pm mid-week and 9am-430pm on Saturdays and some Saturday working will form part of this role.

The practice is fully closed Sundays, Wednesdays and Bank Holidays

The Practice

* Independent practice established over 30 years ago
* Single test room
* Wide range of specialist clinical services provided including MECS, colour vision overlay, paediatrics and specialist contact lens services
* Supported by an experienced OA & DO Manager
* Using paperless based patient management systems and state of the art equipment
* Loyal well-established client base who enjoy investing in high end products such as Tom Ford and Silhouette provided in a relaxed beautifully presented fully independent boutique practice setting
* The practice offers excellent access to train stations and based on the outskirts of Bromley also offers great village community feel
* You will also enjoy auto-refractor, trial frames, phoropter, Goldmann Tonometer, Humphrey fields machine and OCT soon to be installed ASAP

Additional Information

* Flexible testing times up to 45 minutes enabling exceptional high-quality patient care
* Known locally as being very clinical based and often get recommendations from Ophthalmologists for patients to come visit them
* Due to the varied and clinical engaging client base this position would best suit an experienced clinician confident in own abilities to offer consistently excellent levels of care with strong attention to detail and commercial acumen

Package and Benefits

* Negotiable basic salary depending upon experience up to circa £55000 pro-rata
* Opportunity to go on further clinical courses such as MECS and Ortho-k paid for by the practice

* Working closely alongside the practice owner where you will have a real impact in the day-day running of the business

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

* Qualified Optometrist required registered with GOC and NHS
* 4+ years post qualified experience is essential
* Right to work in the UK
* Independent practice experience would be of benefit but not essential
* The ideal candidate will have further qualifications/experience of MECS and specialist contact lens work but not essential as courses can be provided
