Medacs Healthcare is currently looking for a Consultant Neurologist to be based at a large NHS Trust based in the East of England.

SALARY SCALE: £77,913 to £105,042 per annum

The primary purpose of the post is to provide general neurology services to patients served by the Trust.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to undertake three outpatient clinics per week, which cover the areas of general neurology and one subspecialty clinic. The Consultant will also support the training of junior medical staff and medical students in the department.

The post holder will be expected to work with management to develop their service in lines with national and local priorities and to support the governance and audit activities of the Trust.

The appointee will work closely with the existing neurologist in providing the full range of neurological services, including diagnosis, investigation and treatment of patients with the full range of neurological conditions.

The consultant will have a continuing responsibility for the care of patients in his/her charge, ensuring safe handover as appropriate. He/she will provide a prompt opinion on request from consultant colleagues in other specialties.

Requirements:
- GMC registered
- Relevant experience in Neurology
