Job Ref:

Looking for a new opportunity with great clinical Freedom? Or a new place of work with a great atmosphere and great team ethos and moral.
This practice is looking to recruit for a Permanent associate, to start as soon as possible, to work at their Health Centre practice located in Southampton.
Very commutable and accessible, located close by to other major towns such as Portsmouth, Eastleigh, Winchester, Fareham
This position is to work on a Full time basis, working between Monday to Friday from 9am-6pm.
Part time accepted, working between 2-3 days.
Practice have 5000-6000 UDA's on offer  (although more is always available if candidates so wishes) and are looking to £13 per UDA Plus depending on experience . Part time target will be pro rata.
All the private work carried out will be split 50% and lab bills will be split 50/50 too.
About the practice:
5 surgeries in place . Four of the rooms are large and well appointed . The most recent room is smaller but is the Jewel of the Practice being ultra modern and brand new both in its cabinetry and chair . The Practice overall is very modern and furnished to a high standard .
The Practice uses Systems For Dentists (SFD  ) . The software is extremely similar (while actually being easier to use for a Clinician ) to Software for Excellence. In any event candidates would provide both an induction day (in which candidates would be invited to play around and get used to the system properly ) as well as onsite support (both in the form of a nurse as well as the Practice Manager ) so that candidates may familiarise themselves as quickly as one would be able .
The Practice enjoys the use of both Wave One and Apex Locator .Each room has its own Digital Xray unit . Overall the units are less than 3 years old.
Currently the practice has 5 associates  .All associates are either embarked upon a course to provide implants and all dentists also offer Invisalign . Practice are very supportive, if candidates wish to offer any other specialisms
The reason they are looking for an additional Clinician is demand . They are a large practice with a large target and they wish all their clinicians to be able to perform without undue pressure. They have a strong and friendly team ethos and all their team enjoy working with and for each other . The majority of their clinicians and nurses have been with the practice for several years .
Although the Practice is predominantly an NHS Practice with a substantial UDA Target they absolutely understand and accept that every Clinician has the untrammelled right to treat patients responsibly and appropriately in the manner they deem fit .The Practice and its team place the welfare and treatment of its Patients as its ultimate priority and at its heart and they believe the Dentist is the person best placed to judge exactly how that target is to be achieved .
Initial exams are generally set ( for a new clinician ) at 15 minutes . Once a Dentist becomes more experienced and relaxed within the Practice they often request a shorter examination time of 10 minutes but they stress this is optional to the Dentist . The Clinician then sets the time he or she determines is appropriate to the needs of the Patient . If candidates determine that they require 30 minutes for say a filing  then it is entirely the clinicians province to do so . If candidates require longer than the dentist can take longer . If shorter likewise . The decision is the dentist to make .
They also have on board a Clinical Director whose role is to provide both support and a sounding board for ALL Dentists ( regardless of seniority ) on cases or issues or particular interest to the Clinician concerned . The Director also carries out regular clinical audits to ensure that all Dentists work to an acceptable standard for NHS and Private treatment . In the event of standards not being achieved we work with the Dentist to improve them in areas in which they may be falling short and support them both in taking training courses and on site support to helping them fulfil their absolute potential . This is advantageous both for the Practice and the Dentist.
Further due to the atmosphere and team ethos at the Practice colleagues are always on hand and happy to provide respectful and supportive input if called upon .Overall the Practice is a friendly practice. wherein they naturally work hard but also enjoy both working and socialising together .
