TTM Healthcare is looking for Cross Sectional Lead Radiographer to join a Prestigious Private Hospital. Located on the Jubilee line, minutes from Central London, this luxury private Hospital has an international reputation for providing the highest quality of care to patients and is unique in that all profits fund our onsite Hospice.   

Operating 7 days a week with a 24 hour on-call set-up, the Imaging Department provides a fully digital service supported by a fully integrated Agfa RIS/ PACS/ Mediweb system and covers the full range of modalities. The cross sectional Imaging Suite includes 1.5T MRI, 3T MRI & 256 slices CT.  Shift patterns include extended working days, 12 hr shifts as well 8 hrs shifts within the 37.5 hour working week and on-call cover as per rota allocation.   

This role would ideally suit a Band 7 CT/MRI or Senior Radiographer who would have extensive experience in CT & MRI willing to take on a leadership role. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day operational management of their specialist area – Cross-sectional imaging, and its associated staff training, rota management and staff management – Radiographers, Radiologists and Radiology Department Assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess the clinical justification of Radiography referrals and act as an operator
- Act as a point of advice for imaging referrers
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients and their escorts
- Report clinical, non-clinical and radiation incidents
- Comply and contribute to the implementation of departmental and professional policies and procedures
- To lead on General X-ray safety and maintain current records of staff training
- Maintain equipment inventory and ensure QA on all equipment is performed
- Maintain and ensure highest standards of radiography are delivered at all times
- Manage and lead by example ,the day-to-day organisation of the Cross-Sectional Imaging department
- Work in collaboration with the other Lead Radiographers and Deputy Imaging Manager to ensure rotas are such as to cover the clinical areas with matched expertise.
- Offer support, advice and motivation to work experience students and new starters
- Trouble-shoot equipment faults and make suitable provision for the service
- Demonstrate a wide range of problem solving skills
- Undertake non radiographic duties as and when required by the demands of the service or the Deputy Imaging Manager.
- Ensure all daily checks, cleaning, and QAs has taken place and clear records kept.
- Attend meetings as directed by the Imaging Manager.


- Current HPC registration
- Certificate in PACS administration
- Evidence of CPD
- Radiation Protection Certificate
- Evidence of clinical experience in a range of procedures, practices & equipment
- Evidence of supervisory /mentoring role
- Independent sector experience.
- Demonstration of excellent leadership skills
- Evidence of decision making skills
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently & accurately
- Excellent presentation skills
- Self motivated & able to motivate others
