Full & Part-Time Care Assistants - Gorton, Openshaw, Beswick, Miles Platting, Ancoats, Clayton or Levenshulme.

AS THIS IS A COMMUNITY BASED ROLE, YOU MUST HOLD A FULL UK DRIVING LICENSE AND HAVE UNRESTRICTED ACCESS TO A VEHICLE.

Medacs Healthcare are currently recruiting for experienced and inexperienced home carers to join our ever expanding team of professional and dedicated care staff, providing both emotional and practical support to elderly Service Users in their own homes.

3 days paid induction training will be provided for all successful applicants.

A full DBS will be required to commence work with Medacs Healthcare. The cost of a fully enhanced, child & adult DBS is £44.00. This is to be funded by the applicant upon completion of a successful interview, although we will discuss payment options in the event of financial challenges.

Shift patterns are: 07.00 to 13.30 and 15.30 to 22.00.

Ideally, you will be flexible and able to work a mixture of shift patterns as it is not always possible to provide early shifts only.

All our care workers are required to work alternate weekends.

Pay rates are - £9.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £9.50 per hour Weekends + 1 hours pay at minimum wage for every 7 hours of work completed to contribute toward travelling time.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):-

Personal Care - bathing, showers, toileting, pad changes, dressing/undressing, hair care, dental hygiene etc.

Medication - supporting with medication by providing a verbal prompt or physical assistance.

Food Preparation - providing light meals, snacks and drinks.

Documentation - a brief but factual account of every care visit is to be documented in the clients homecare file, therefore, an excellent command of the English language is required, written, reading and verbal.
