Assistant Radiography Services Manager, required by TTM Healthcare, on behalf of a large teaching hospital, based in Dublin City Centre.      

The Radiology Department in this hospital is actively involved in ongoing clinical research and training, to ensure the best possible service and covers a range of services including General, DEXA, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional, Fluoroscopy, Nuclear Medicine and Mammography.  

Reporting to the Radiography Service Manager, you will be assisting in the running of the Radiology department on a day to day basis, overseeing the daily operational workflow organisation and assisting in managing and maximising the use of staff and equipment in order to deliver a 24-hour service.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Primary responsibility on a day-to-day basis for the service delivery from the General Radiology area and Radiology Screening service outside of main Radiology department
- Contribute to the development and implementation of operational polices, protocols and guidelines to ensure optimum utilisation of resources and the systemic audit of such usage
- Ensure all codes of practice and clinical guidelines are adhered to in order to comply with current best and safe working practice
- To liaise and work together with the Radiography and Radiology Management Team and other disciplines by attending clinical, management and planning meetings, engaging in written and verbal recording and reporting

You may also be required to take part in the on-call service within the department, rotating through the specialised imaging modalities.

Key Requirements:

- BSc in Radiography or equivalent
- CORU Registration
- Minimum 6 years full time post qualification clinical experience
- Experience working with PACS/RIS systems is desirable
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Experience of training staff in Radiography modalities is desirable
