In line with our journey of improving together, we are strengthening our leadership teams and have exciting opportunities for General Managers to operate across Surgery & Cancer, Women’s, Acute Paediatrics, Specialist Medicine and Acute Medicine.

Our General Managers play a key role in supporting the Divisional Director of operations, Service Leads and divisional managerial staff in the planning, development, provision and review of, patient focussed and cost-effective integrated pathways and services. Putting the interests of the patients at the heart of all managerial decisions, the General Managers will be responsible for:

• Implementing the Transformational Change Programme and revolutionising the way LGT work.
• Putting the interests of the patients at the heart of all managerial decisions
• Ensuring that the Service Management team identify and focus on the Services’s most critical delivery areas.
• Dealing with patient complaints.
• Contributing to the annual Service Business Plans.
• Leading the Service Management team and gaining others’ confidence and inspiring engagement.
• Budget Management and will ensuring that the Division is achieving its activity and access targets.

The ideal candidate will bring fresh drive and ideas to the Trust and share the same passion as we do for the highest standard of patient care. We are looking for strong NHS management experience with a proven track record in dealing with NHS processes. Excellent communication skills are essential along with the ability to manage budgets and interpret information provided by Information Services and Finance. Our General Managers adopt a flexible and adaptable approach and strive to continually innovate the way they work.
