On behalf of my client we are recruiting for a Deputy Childrens Home Manager to join their organisation within the Basingstoke area.

Set in a semi-rural location within four acres of beautifully mature grounds, this children’s home is a registered home for up to seven young people aged 11 to 18 who have learning disabilities, which may include autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) and complex associated difficulties. Young people over this age may be deemed appropriate to remain in the home if it is their best interests and to support their continued education. This home is open 52 weeks per year.

You must ideally have your QCF level 3 in children & young adults and have at least 2 years experience working within an EBD home.

The primary function of the Deputy Manager is to support the Manager in the smooth running of the home, ensuring all our young people are in receipt of high quality care as set out in the Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations, and the team of Care Officers in their home are supported in the fulfilment of their daily duties. To support the young people throughout their daily routines, advocate on their behalf, and encourage them to achieve their full potential in all areas of their lives. There is also an expectation that the Deputy Manager will step up to the Manager’s role in the event of a short term temporary absence. My client is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all children and young people in our care. All our staff have a key role and responsibility to ensure Safeguarding is of paramount importance.

The Salary is £24,000 based on a 37.5 hours per week
