On behalf of my client we are recruiting for a Personal Support Worker for the Hadleigh Suffolk area. This home cares for adults with learning disabilities and challenging needs.

You will work flexibly to enable adults with learning disabilities and challenging needs to live in ordinary housing, access community facilities, participate in a range of activities and opportunities and achieve as ‘normal’ and fulfilling a lifestyle as possible. To ensure all care plans, focused targets and behaviour management strategies are implemented consistently by the staff team. To support the individuals connection with their families and friends and the local community.

Assist the Home Manager in recruitment and selection by taking an active role in supporting new staff. Contribute to the development of other team members. Support the effective functioning of the team by ensuring that good relationships with colleagues are established and maintained and by adopting a constructive, reflective approach. Support the creation of your Personal Development Plan and be committed to learning. Create and follow activity plans for individuals as required. Identify, minimise and report to the line manager any interpersonal conflict which arises within the team. Ensure that colleagues always adhere to Safeguarding policy and Speak Up policy and report to Home Manager or upwards any concerns in this area in relation to colleagues.

This position is for days and nights and the salary is £8.30 to £8.40 per hour.

You must have a full driving licence and vehicle.
