Clinical Nurse Specialist - Behaviour Support
 
Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) required for an intellectual disability service based in Limerick.
 
The core role of the CNS is to support the clients within the service to help them to cope with and change the  conditions that influence and maintain their behaviour. The average caseload is 40 and limited access to shared secretarial support is available.
 
The CNS will be office based but observations and interventions will be carried out within the services users own home/work.  Some evening work may be required at times but usual hours would involve working with the individual  via the office.
 
Requirements:
 

- RNID: Must be registered under the Intellectual Disability division of the NMBI
- At least 5 years post qualification experience with at least 2 of these working with people who experience challenging behaviour
- Post Graduate qualification relevant to Behavior support
