PRIMARY CARE NETWORK CLINICAL PHARMACIST – FEDBUCKS

LOCATION: Buckinghamshire – Primary Care Networks

HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 hours per week. Part-time hours also considered.

SALARY: £37,570 - £43,772 equivalent to Band 7 salary range (Clinical Pharmacist)
£44,606 equivalent to Band 8a salary (Senior Clinical Pharmacist)

The advent of primary care networks provides an exciting opportunity to expand upon and extend the pharmacist role in primary care.

We are seeking enthusiastic and forward-thinking senior and junior clinical pharmacists to join our GP practice networks across the region. We are looking for pharmacists to develop and manage all aspects of medicines across the practice network. Working with highly skilled multi-disciplinary teams you will work in a patient facing role based in the surgeries. This is an evolving role with huge scope for development. Roles will be split across different GP practices as listed below, and the successful candidate will be required to be based in named practices within the network.

As part of the NHS England Network Contract DES funding for Clinical Pharmacists the successful candidate will have access to accredited training pathway that equips the pharmacist to be able to practice and prescribe safely and effectively in a primary care setting and to deliver the key responsibilities of the role As part of this the candidate will be part of a supportive network of pharmacists across the region.
Offers of employment will be based on FedBucks terms and conditions of employment, which includes holiday pay of 25 days plus bank holidays (subject to required working pattern), and NHS Pension scheme (subject to eligibility).

Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent
• Registered with GPhC
• Member of RPS
• Specialist knowledge through a Postgraduate Diploma and qualifications (e.g. clinical, community, therapeutics) or equivalent
• Evidence of recent and relevant Continuing Professional Development
• Independent prescriber status or a commitment to undertake the course
HOURS OF WORK:
37.5 hours per week. Part-time hours also considered.
