Are you an experienced Oncology Nurse looking for a new challenge?    

TTM have an exciting opportunity working in Oncology Day Case with one of London's most prestigious private hospitals.  
TTM Healthcare are working in partnership with one of London's most prestigious specialist cancer treatment centres. They have a network of over 80 consultants who are experienced in diagnosing and treating all forms of cancer, using the latest medical developments to provide advanced treatment options. The hospital has four oncology day-care facilities at different locations across London and we are currently looking to recruit a senior staff nurse to work at one of their facilities on the day case unit.
Reporting into the ward manager you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the highest standard of care to patients on the ward. You will encapsulate the ethos of the hospital supporting patients through their journey. Part of your day to day will involve cannulation, phlebotomy, managing peripheral & central IV devices and the delivery of chemotherapy. A vital part of your role will be ensuring you provide clinical leadership to all members of staff on the shift. You will have an extensive knowledge of oncology condition and the ability to recognise emergencies in adequate time. You will also play a key role in the planning and implementation of new policies and procedures in line with current practices in Oncology care. You will also support junior members of staff with triage. Working in oncology does require you to be experienced in end of life care and the ability to adequately provide
this care to patients when required. Part of your role as a senior member of staff will also be to ensure that documentation is kept up to date and accurate.    
To be considered for this role you will have at experience of working in oncology nursing. You will have completed a chemotherapy course and have a good knowledge of cytotoxic drugs along with a good knowledge of oncology conditions, emergencies and end of life care. You will be competent in Phlebotomy / Cannulation / Care of CVADs/ IV administration. BLS and ALS are desirable. Working as a senior staff nurse you will be required to be a good team leader to junior members of staff and the ability to take control of shift when required. You will be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Working as part of a team you will have excellent communication skills and be a good team player
