Your duties will include, but not limited to :

To be a keyworker for individual patients working closely with MDT colleagues to develop and implement coherent and effective care plans

To carry out and re-evaluate CPA risk assessments and plan care to address the identified risks.

To establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with children and their families

To be able to identify what general and specific observations relating to mental illness, child development, developmental disorder and parenting capacity are required for each child and create and implement

To provide coherent reports on the child's progress on a weekly basis and to present these in the clinical management meeting.

To be able to work alongside and support junior staff in managing complex distressing behaviours including working with children who display verbal and physical aggression

To ensure that the unit's therapeutic programme is maintained and that it reflects the changing needs of the children and their families.

To support the unit school and facilitate an alternative programme for children not able to attend school.

To be responsible for the administration of medication when required to children and adults.

To inform Manager/On-call person of the staffing/situation/needs/difficulties with patients and to ensure that all attempts are made to provide an appropriate treatment environment.

To support parents in developing their relationship with their children by role modeling and supporting them in sporting and play activities e.g. swimming, football, bowling, art and craft etc.

Minimum requirements :

Minimum 6 months recent relevant UK experience.
Full occupational health immunisation to include Hep B, MMR, Varicella and TB.
