Medacs Healthcare is currently looking for Specialist Registrar in Respiratory Medicine to work at a large NHS University Hospital based in Kent.

Grade: Specialist Registrar in Haematology
Contract type: Full time/Fixed term
Contract length: 12 months - extendable
Remuneration: £31,217 - £49,086 basic salary plus 40% - 50% banding for additional oncalls

Duties of the post:

 The appointee will be responsible for communication and liaison with other medical and service departments within the hospital and with general practitioners and other agencies, such as district nursing and Social Services.

 The appointee will be expected to cover for absence of colleagues (including on call cover) at short notice, e.g. sickness.

 It is expected that the post holder will play an active part in the training of junior medical staff. He/she will also be expected to supervise, educate and assist medical students.

 The post holder should take an active part in clinical audit, journal club and departmental teaching sessions. Regular appraisals will occur and the post holder will be expected to take part in CPD.


Requirements:
- GMC registration or eligibility
- A minimum of 24 months recent substantive experience in Geriatrics/Speciality medicine/A+E at SHO level. Must have had experience of acute medical take.
