Further to successful contract award, DHU wish to appoint a Deputy Operations Manager to support the LLR Operations Manager with the delivery of an effective and efficient service in line with commissioned contracts. The post holder will be responsible for the line management of non-clinical staff at the Leicester City Hubs the operational management at Leicester Royal Infirmary front door, the OOH clinic and the East Leicestershire integrated urgent care services .

Key responsibilities include providing visible and accessible leadership creating a climate where individuals understand their role and responsibilities including rote management and operational support to all colleagues engaged in service delivery, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays (inclusive of Christmas and New year); ensuring positions on the rota have a regular set pattern of hours to ensure business efficiency, continuity and colleague satisfaction . The post holder will actively seek and develop business opportunities within the healthcare community, presenting capabilities of the service formally to potential commissioners.

You will provide full support to the Operations Manager to ensure that services operate effectively, meeting contractual requirements; support the development of local policies and procedures, implementing them keeping in mind the compliance with wider DHU Policies and Procedures and other legislative requirements.

The successful candidate will be educated to a degree level or have equivalent experience, have previous NHS management responsibility; experience of managing a large team including the motivation of staff. You will have excellent interpersonal/communication skills, show a high level of computer experience, including rota management; be a team player and have the ability to work under pressure whilst showing commitment to the role.
