Medacs Healthcare are recruiting experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioners (ENP) with prescribing qualifications to join our team working in a minor injuries unit in North East London.

The Trust provides an extensive range of integrated community and mental health services for people living in the London boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Barnet, Havering, Brentwood and Thurrock. Their services include specialist treatment for people experiencing acute mental health illness; help for children and young people; care and support for all ages from new born babies to older people.

Requirements :

Extended/independent prescribing qualification

Accredited A&E or minor illness qualification

Evidence of continuous personal development

Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Nurse Practitioner qualification/ first contact practitioner (or willing to work towards)

Minimum of 12 months ex in primary care, A&E or minor injuries unit.

Experience in working as an autonomous practitioner.

Clinical examination skills.

Excellent communication skills

Displays self-confidence and self-awareness, especially in dealing with staff and patients.

Contrasting abilities to work both in teams and independently.

Ability to articulate the rationale for decisions

Demonstrate sound Leadership capabilities when dealing with members of the nursing team and support staff.

Demonstrate capability to assume management responsibilities as required to support the Urgent Care Centre Lead.

Minimum requirements :

Minimum 6 months recent relevant UK experience.
Full occupational health immunisation to include Hep B, MMR, Varicella and TB.
