Experienced Biomedical Engineer based in the headquarters in Bromsgrove, West Midlands, commutable from Worcester.

Our client is dedicated to excellence, delivering world-class service standards to the healthcare industry both here in the UK and internationally. They are specialists in the maintenance, calibration and repairs of medical devices and laboratory equipment and work in partnership with pioneering medical device Original Equipment Manufacturers.

Due to company growth and expansion our client is looking for an Experienced Biomedical Engineer to be based at the headquarters in Bromsgrove to work as part of their approved service partner team working on some of the top OEM devices in the market. Full training provided and through regular manufacture training and personal development opportunities you'll become an extension of the OEM's service offering.

This position would suit a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who has a willingness to learn and progress in the medical & laboratory equipment industry. Strong practical skills and experience as a biomedical engineer working with medical devices would be essential for this position as well as the ability to work within a team.

Commutable from Worcester

Key Responsibilities

* Assess, service and repair as required medical equipment to achieve forecasted output
* To ensure that service level agreements are met for customers serviced by our back-to-base workshop, including repair turnaround times, reliability, and preventive-maintenance completion
* Complete all service paperwork and documentation to the agreed standard.
* Responsible for maintaining work area and test equipment in a safe, compliant and tidy condition
* Maintain compliance to all company standards and adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to Health & Safety and Quality Management.
* To proactively seek to improve the process and service delivery provided

Experience / Qualities

* Qualified to ONC or equivalent in electrical/electronic engineering
* Previous experience in an engineering or technical maintenance discipline
* Background in electronics is desirable
* Experience in the testing of renal dialysis equipment would be an advantage, but not essential
* A competent "hands on" service engineer with a "can do" attitude, and the ability to problem-solve effectively and efficiently
* Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative
* Flexible and self-motivated, with the ability maintain and achieve service targets and deadlines
* A professional team player who is self-motivated and possesses excellent communication skills

Qualifications / Requirements

* Qualified to HNC in electronics or equivalent
* Experience as a biomedical engineer, working with medical devices is essential
