Medacs Healthcare have an exciting opportunity available for a Clinical Manager to join our team. This is a full time role and would require travel between Newcastle and Gateshead.

Experience of working on the PIP contract is essential and no applications will be considered if the candidate does not have a minimum of 1 year experience as a Disability Assessor.

Main Responsibilities

* To provide training and ongoing support to all staff.
* To support in the management of a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring a quality professional service to standards of service delivery and performance indicators consistent with contract needs.
* To ensure professional standards are maintained in medical work through recruitment, training and audit.
* Liaise with the management team to recruit and retain employed healthcare professionals against local business needs and nationally agreed standards.
* To work alongside the Clinical Delivery Manager and support other clinical managers.
* To ensure all HP's are kept up to date with mandatory and ongoing training and development needs.

Key Performance Indicators

* All quality SLA's are achieved
* OPA's - to make sure all assessments are completed within the contracted timescales
* Audits - to help reduce audits and increase A1 grade reports
* Risk scores - To ensure HP's have low risk scores in line with IAS standards

Essential Skills and Experience

* HP (Nurse, Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist) with a minimum of two years' post registration experience. Registration and continuous professional development should be maintained in accordance with the requirements of their registered body.
* PIP experience is essential. No applications will be considered if the candidate does not have a minimum of 1 year's expertise working on the PIP contract.
* The candidate must be full time and flexible to suit the needs of the business.
* Demonstrates positive attitude, role model for other HPs in regards to good practices and behaviour.
* Have highly developed both oral and written communications skills and be able to negotiate successfully and respond to rapidly changing work environment.
* Work well as part of a multidisciplinary team and build positive working relationships with both medical colleagues and administrative support staff.
* Honesty and integrity and adherence to customer and claimant confidentiality

* Experience of change management and the ability to influence and negotiate successfully with a range of people. Takes a positive approach to dealing with change.
* Evidence of responding to unexpected changes by adopting a flexible approach to work
