Residential Service Manager

Crawley (West Sussex)

We are currently looking for a Residential Service Manager with a solid background in management within healthcare to lead a modern, state of the art home based in Crawley (West Sussex). The home enjoys a number of self-contained wings, each comprising of a large number of en-suite bedrooms and their own lounge and dining room; our client ensures the highest possible standards of care and a safe, homely environment for its residents.

Key Responsibilities

* As Home Manager you will lead the onsite team of staff including deputy managers, nurses and carers, ensuring the high care standards are maintained.
* You will be dealing with the day-to-day management of the home, your staff and the residents to ensure everything runs smoothly.
* You will be involved in staff training and development, mentoring and managing any issues that arise promptly and effectively.
* You will be also be involved in maintaining and developing relationships with service users, their families and other healthcare professionals.

Person Specification

* To be considered for this role you must be an experienced Manager and will have demonstrable experience with elderly clients and those who suffer from dementia.
* Although it is not essential, it would be strongly desirable for applicants to have a Registered Nurse qualification in order to manage the clinical team more efficiently.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and encourage others are essential.
