Key Details: I am recruiting for a Consultant Ophthalmologist on a Part Time Basis who has experience of leading a team and assist with the growth and development of the Hospital.

Salary: �80,000 -�110,000 per annum / �38.46 - �52.88 per hour based on 40 hours per week (negotiable depending on experience

Bonus: Annual bonus provided.

Hours: Part Time - 28 Hours Per Week

Contract Type: Permanent

Further Details about the role: I am looking to recruit a Ophthalmology Clinician, you will be responsible for the development of the service, working within national guidelines and providing local service contractual requirements and growth of required service. The services will be provided on multiple sites and the post holder will support the development of the clinical team to provide these services. As a Clinician you will be required to have completed a substantial number of procedures identified above independently. As an Ophthalmology Clinician you will be required to perform a range of ophthalmology procedures on patients referred to the treatment centre and provide supervision of the provision of adult community ophthalmology services delivered by allied healthcare professionals, working in accordance with our client's protocols and working practices. In this role you will be required to perform a range of ophthalmology procedures and demonstrate a high level of operative skill in some (or all) of the following areas:

- High Volume Phakoemulsification under topical anaesthesia

- Occuloplastics

- Glaucoma

- Wet AMD Duties will include preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative activities as well as utilising time allocated for supporting professional activity.

This position will also require you to demonstrate a high level of operative skill in the following areas: High Volume Phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia (Essential), Medical Retina including AMD (Essential), Glaucoma services (Essential), Yag Laser treatments. Your duties will include preoperative, intra operative and postoperative activities as well as time allocated for clinical supporting work.

Person Specification: to apply for this role you must hold a valid UK registerable Medical Degree, Full and Specialist GMC Registration in relevant specialty, with no restrictions and a clear DBS check. MRCOphth/FRCOphth/FRCS. Please note that this is a part time role working 28 hours per week.
