Job Title: Operating Department Practitioner

Key Details: I am recruiting for a skilled Operating Department Practitioner who possesses a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. The theatres across this hospital provide a vibrant, exciting and professional environment where the advance equipment and technology is second to none. The ODP I am looking for must also possess Anaesthetics qualification which is recognised and able to practice within the UK.

The Key details are -

Location: South London, within easy access via Train, Bus and car with car park

Salary: �36,000 - �42,000 per annum / �18.46 - �21.53 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week. (negotiable depending on experience )

Bonus: Annual bonus provided.

Hours: Full Time - 37.5

Contract Type: Permanent

Further Details about the role: I am looking to recruit a Operating Department Practitioner - ODP - to join this Private Hospital located in South London, you will become an integral member of the theatre team who are provided the opportunity - as will you - to use judgment and skills to provide the best patient care. The theatre team comprises of consultants and practitioners who have vast experience and knowledge across a range of specialties. There are many complex procedures carried out daily, across a range of acute specialities, including orthopaedics, thoracic, urology, spinal, gynaecology, reconstructive, ophthalmic, complex liver, transplant, neurosurgical and cardiac procedures, as well as general and pediatric surgery. As an ODP, you will assess, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for patients undergoing surgical procedures with minimal supervision. In addition to this, you will also actively contribute to the maintenance of an environment that is conducive to the delivery and promotion of a high standard of patient care

Person Specification: I am looking for the successful applicant for this ODP role to be confident, proactive and demonstrate a desire to improve on their existing skill base to add value to the department. You will need to be able to deliver a consistently high standard of patient car. Any applicants must hold an ODP qualification and have a current HCPC registration without restrictions. It is desirable for the applicant to have ILS but this is not essential. To be Familiar with the concept of clinical governance and its components. Anaesthetic qualification is also a must have for this opportunity.
