Otorhinolaryngology Fellowship (Fixed Term, Full Time) Surgical & Ambulatory Services, Counties Manukau Health, South Auckland, New Zealand

Are you looking to explore New Zealand?

With a growing population base and a commitment to research, innovation and quality, Counties Manukau Health has many attractive opportunities. As big as Counties Manukau Health is, we are a team of talented individuals working together to make a positive difference to the people we serve, to the communities we work in, and to each other. It is this diversity that offers unique opportunities for health professionals on both a personal and professional level.

Counties Manukau District Health Board is inviting applications for a 12 month General Fellowship in Otorhinolaryngology to commence May 2019.

Our Otolaryngology department is based at the Manukau Super Clinic & Surgery Centre and provides outpatient, day stay surgery and some inpatient services to the diverse population of Counties Manukau. The department is very progressive and has been instrumental in expanding and developing services.

A friendly, supportive environment exists within the department and a large emphasis is placed on providing excellent teaching and training opportunities. The clinical setting includes large numbers of patients with general ORL conditions, middle ear disease and chronic rhino-sinusitis. Head and neck surgery is largely focussed on cutaneous malignancy, thyroid surgery and salivary gland disease. There is a strong audiology department associated, and an active Voice Laboratory.

Applicants should have completed a recognised Otorhinolaryngology training programme and be registered or be eligible for General registration with the Medical Council of NZ.
