Job Title:

SERVICE & QUALITY ASSESSOR

Job Purpose:

To ensure that Medacs Healthcare delivers a high quality standard of care to all Service Users. A key purpose of the role is to monitor and supervise the quality of care within a defined geographical area or service line and to ensure that care provision is of a high quality, contractually compliant, and meets (reasonable) customer needs. In addition the role necessitates the day to day supervision of Care Workers that are competent and appropriately skilled to undertake relevant tasks and duties. The position also requires an ongoing focus on customer satisfaction and the consistent monitoring of care provision against customer need and where necessary the activation of any remedial steps to ensure that care services meet customer requirements.

Key Result Areas

Care Workers

 To supervise all new Care Workers for their first shifts and to make recommendations to the Branch Manager/Care Coordinator regarding the frequency of the next supervision.

 To carry out monitoring visits/spot/direct observation checks on Care Workers in the field.

 To identify, encourage and support personal and professional development of all Care Workers whilst in the field.

 To complete all assessments and liaise with the Branch Manager/Care Coordinator and Training Manager to enable sign off when workers achieve completion of the 'Care Certificate'

 Identify experienced Care Workers in the field who require needs led training.

 To collate and monitor weekly statistics to support the above process and enable swift action when necessary.

Service Delivery

 To carry out Risk Assessments and Care Support documents for all new care packages. Document and record this information on the database.

 To discuss all Risk Assessments with the Branch Manager/Care Coordinator, ensuring that all relevant and important points are noted.

 To complete all associated paperwork and ensure that copies are distributed as appropriate and update computer records (Coldharbour) with the following information: General notes to include outcomes, location information and service risks

 Ensure all completed work is accurately uploaded onto Coldharbour

 To feedback appropriate outcomes from Assessments to the Branch Manager and Care Co-ordinators.

 To be fully aware of all current and new contracts monitoring specifications to ensure full compliance with contractual requirements.

 To attend such monthly/quarterly Quality Review meetings as deemed appropriate by the Branch Manager.

 Ensure Risk Assessment Review report from computer system is printed and checked weekly with action plans for any required action to be taken.
