HCL Permanent is proud to be working with one of the UK’s independently recognised hospital that is based in the heart of London. Due to the success of this well-established hospital, we are currently recruiting for a highly skilled Inpatient Oncology Ward Manager  to join the oncology inpatients team.

The Ward Manager will help provide a learning culture, delivering evidenced based practice and co-ordinating the multidisciplinary teams to provide a high-quality patient experience. They will lead in clinical practice in the department, ensuring that clinical standards are upheld and best practice is followed at all times.

The Ward Manager will work closely with the Head of Cancer Services in upholding high standards and reputation of the Hospital through the Clinic’s Vision and Values. They will set the standards and ensure that the team meet departmental objectives, and seeing that delivering a positive patient experience remains the central focus of the service.

In order to be successful within this role, and deliver objectives set by the hospital, you will need the following skills or experience:

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in speciality at a senior level
- Registered General Nurse/Post registration course within this specialist field/ A first degree with nursing focus preferably within the specialist field/ Second degree at Masters level –or working towards
- Evidence of participation in research, critical appraisal of research and the application of research.
- Experience of clinical audit and ability to interpret results and change service delivery accordingly

The ability to negotiate and manage conflict effectively is essential skills required within this role ensuring that patient care is considered at all times.
