Charge Nurse

Deer Park Nursing Home has provided care and support to the people of Holsworthy and outlying villages since 1983 and is a respected part of the community. Our beautiful, purpose-built nursing home is nestled in rolling green hills, only 7 miles from the well-known seaside resort of Bude and the rugged North Devon coast.

In addition to a wonderful place to live and an ideal lifestyle for you and your family we are offering you a very competitive salary, relocation and bonus package, a supportive, fun work environment and the opportunity for further professional development.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Charge Nurse to join our carers and senior care team. Our ethos is person centred, friendly and supportive but modern; promoting independence and delivering stimulating activity are key to our philosophy. As a Charge Nurse you will be compassionate and caring; an excellent communicator and team player with an eye for detail and the skills and expertise to observe, care for and support residents with a wide range of complex healthcare needs.

You will need to hold a current NMC registration and provide evidence of continuing professional development. You must have up to date knowledge of clinical practices and a strong understanding of relevant regulatory care legislation. You must also have an awareness of clinical policy framework, Safeguarding, DoLS and MCA.

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and really make a positive impact on the care we provide. In return we are offering

• Competitive starting salary with enhancements dependent on experience and expertise
• Performance bonuses
• Up to £2000 Relocation Assistance
• 6 weeks paid holiday per year plus an extra days holiday per year of service up to 35 days
• Enhanced pay rate for bank holidays
• Childcare vouchers

Thinking of relocating? We’ve got that covered too! (As well as offering a generous package easing the stress of the moving process), we can boast forever about our location! Miles of rugged coastlines, golden sandy beaches, a huge selection of delicious eateries, beautiful landscapes and fresh sea air? Check! And that’s just the fun stuff! We also have easy access to excellent performing primary and secondary schools, low pollution levels and friendly people. It’s all about supporting your work/life balance!
