In partnership with their client, CPL Healthcare have an immediate vacancy for a staff nurse in a residential facility based in Killarney.
This nursing home group is looking for a care coordinator/staff nurse with a passion for aged care to join their dedicated team.
Operating out of a social model of disability, you will have responsibility for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of the care required to meet the physical, psychological and social needs of individuals with physical and neurological disabilities. This role provides care and support to individuals living in a residential service and you will be required to establish and maintain relationships with individuals with disabilities that are based on respect and equality and that promote their independence.
Job Requirements:
• Full NMBI registration
• A proven track record in aged care or ability to demonstrate a genuine desire to work in the area and an ability to demonstrate a willingness to adapt to person centered nursing

Experience of working in a care-delivery capacity, preferably within a disability service or community setting.
• 12 months post grad. experience minimum

Strong organisational/team skills

• Knowledge of HIQA requirements
• Full clean driving licence (there might be a night to drive an individual)
• Excellent communication skills with fluent English
• Eligibility to work in Ireland

Your role:

People Management – Leads and manages the frontline care support team who support individuals in all aspects of their daily lives and activities

General Duties - Oversee and implement effective personal plans that respond to the needs identified in individual s’ person-centred plans

Continuous Improvement & Reflective Practice – Responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice both personally and amongst the frontline care support team

HIQA- The person will be a PIC/PPIM (Person in Charge/Person Participating in Management) for HIQA

Employee Responsibility – To lead by example. To ensure good attendance and compliance with all employee related policies and requests. To attend team meetings, 1:1’s and performance discussions and required training as requested

Health & Safety – To ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements as per individuals personal plans such as but not limited to manual handling plans both personally and amongst the frontline care support team. To adhere to policies, procedures and codes of conduct

• 20h/week (4 days/5h) can be worked around school times
• Salary range: 14 to 21€/h (dep. on experience)
• Annual leave/exp (24 to 27 days)
• Premim pay for certain shifts
• Access to pension scheme after probation
