Job Description
As part of the nursing team you will assess, plan, deliver and implement a high standard of nursing care, ensuring that all individual needs of the patient are met. Working within a team you will be involved in the development of the department and give guidance and support to junior members of the team.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Provide the highest standards of quality nursing care using evidence based practice

- To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care for cardiac patients

- To demonstrate good clinical practice at all times

- To record and interpret ECG as well as care for patients with chest drains, Epidural PCA and Femoral sheath removal (Cardiac)

Skills and Experience

- Registered General Nurse with full NMC registration.

- Post registration experience within the field of Catheter Laboratory and/or Interventional Cardiology and/or Cardiothoracic surgery

- Ability to recognise cardiac rhythms and monitoring experience

- Excellent communication skills with good time management skills and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team

- Able to demonstrate a desire to develop clinical skills

As the successful candidate you will be adaptable and able to meet the changing needs of our patients. You will also need excellent communications skills with the ability to be diplomatic and empathetic in highly charged situations is key for this role, so you will possess a passion for delivering customer service and a desire to provide an exceptional patient experience.
