Medacs Healthcare is currently looking for ST3 Endocrine & Diabetes doctors to work in the University Hospital in South East of England.

Grade: Specialist Registrar in Endocrine and Diabetes
Contract type: Full time/Fixed term
Contract length: 12 months
Remuneration: £30,302 - £47,647 basic salary plus 40 - 50% banding for additional oncalls

The post is based within Endocrine & Diabetes with cross working in GiM and the post holder will be expected to carry out their duties in accordance with an agreed timetable to include some early morning and evening work as well as a committment to the general medical on call rota.
The Division have a well-structured teaching timetable and there will be an opportunity to attend speciality specific teaching and well as a weekly medical unit grand round, a multi-disciplinary radiology meeting and PACES teaching (organised by the College Tutor and the RCP Associate Tutor). All trainees and middle grades have an allocated educational supervisor.

There are opportunities to attend OPD clinics which contribute to gaining experience in passing the MRCP (UK) PACES examinations. Seven of the consultants are PACES examiners and the Trust hosts the PACES examinations once per year. In addition, there are regular MRCP (UK) PACES teaching courses for the CMT1 and CMT2 with excellent opportunities to teach medical students. We also have an excellent undergraduate teaching programme and undertake OSCES for final MBBS.
