Medacs Healthcare is currently seeking a self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality services individual to work as a mental health employment advisor on behalf of our client, who is a national charity and leading provider of adult health and social care services.

The ideal candidate will need to be independently mobile and willing to travel throughout the areas of Cannock and Seisdon. This is a temporary to permanent position with full time hours available.


* NVQ II (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards
* Knowledge and experience of the needs of people experiencing serious mental ill health
* Achieving specific targets and deadlines

Overview of the role

As a mental health employment advisor, you will manage a caseload and work with volunteers, employers and referring agencies in order to identify and support people with mental ill health who require assistance to access employment, in line with the service level agreement.

You will support employers offering work placements as per the requirements of the service user's action plan and provide ongoing support to service users who wish to access employment to assist in retention of employment. You will also deliver information, advice and guidance relating to employment at the pace and direction of those who use the service and to enable service users to breakdown barriers to accessing employment.
