Job title: Band 4 Pharmacy Technicians
Salary: £14 - £18 ltd per hour depending on experience
Hours: 37.5 including one late duty until approximately 18.00pm
Location: North West London

Are you an enthusiastic and passionate individual who is looking to expand and grow your career in Pharmacy? Excellent locum opportunities are currently available in the North West London area for Band 4 Pharmacy Technicians for an NHS rotational role.

You will be working along side a well established NHS trust who provide an effective pharmacy service in the Pharmacy Dispensary, at Ward Level and to support the dispensing of out-patient prescriptions.
This is a training and development role, levels of responsibility will increase as experience and competence increases. Any training needs will be identified and rectified by individual training plans.

Your Impact and duties:
*To rotate within the main pharmacy services in Patient Services for both in and out-patients (approximately 50%), Drug Distribution, Pharmacy Stores, Non-sterile, Sterile and Aseptic Production and Dispensing for Discharge.
*Prepare and dispense pharmaceutical products.
*Give advice on pharmaceutical products and supplies.
*Provide 'Top up' service of stock items to wards and departments
*Be involved in the medicine management programme.
*Enter patient details on computerised record system from prescriptions prepared by others, to produce labels
*Participate in ward and department top-up services including booking out of drugs to wards, where required
*Emergency Drug Cupboard monitored and items replenished on a routine basis where required.
*Regularly conduct stock checks, stock rotation and date checking
*Investigate and rectify stock discrepancies
*Assemble and issue of Emergency Drug Boxes.
*Returned medicines are dealt with according to department procedure.

Education and Qualifications:
*NVQ in Pharmaceutical Services or Equivalent
*Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council (or in process of obtaining membership)

Experience and Knowledge:
*Knowledge of pharmaceutical technical procedures acquired though training NVQ3 and BTEC or equivalent in pharmaceutical science plus induction and CPD
*Worked in a Pharmacy role (hospital or retail)
*Experience with JAC computer system
