PE Global Healthcare requires a Chief Technologist - Surgery for one of the largest hospital groups in Qatar.

The Chief Technologist is a member of a multi-disciplinary operating room team, including physicians, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other patient care staff. The team is responsible for ensuring patient surgeries are safe and efficient. The Chief Technologist works under the medical staff to facilitate safe and effective surgical care. The Chief Technologist has ultimate responsibility to plan, manage, and control the day-to-day duties of the technologists and technicians. This includes assisting in the aspects of care, as defined by the scope of service, from ensuring a sterile environment to administering patient care post-procedure. The Chief Technologist is an advanced vocational member of the team, demonstrating knowledge of specialized techniques and processes. In particular, the Chief Technologist possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic techniques and combines knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation of surgical instruments/tools and technologies to facilitate the care-giving team. The Chief Technologist operates within standardized procedures and precedents under the supervision of the medical staff. The incumbent shall be subject to generally regulated routines, practices, and procedures and be subject to managerial control and review.

Essential Education: Minimum:
3 years Nursing Diploma after completion of High school plus 1 year diploma or certificate in surgical and or theatre technology.
3 years Nursing Diploma after completion of nine years general education

Preferred Education:
Bachelor`s Degree in Nursing or Allied Health Profession

Essential Experience:
5 years of surgical experience in an acute-care setting

Preferred Experience:
5+ years of surgical experience in an acute-care setting, including instrument room management.

Language Skills: English- essential; Arabic- preferred
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office skills, including MS-Outlook
Competent database management skills
