A great new permanent job opportunity for an experienced Area Sales Manager has become available to cover the North of England from the M62 up to the Scottish Borders. Our client, a leading supplier of surgical consumables is looking for an established professional to lead from the front and act as the face of the business to work with existing clients and identify new business opportunities.
The salary will be based on experience and the bonus would be 25% of the base.
Our client is looking for a Territory Manager to deliver a range of support services to customers while obtaining, arranging and managing clinic evaluations of our clients products for potential customers. To do this you will be working with customer representatives from a range of clinical areas including Consultants, Theatre Managers, Theatre Nurses, Procurement Managers, Infection Control Managers, Nurses, Occupational Health Managers and many others.
The main duties of the job include agreeing, achieving and exceeding regional targets while offering support to colleagues and management to achieve other regional targets. A key aspect of your job will be to assess the level of support required by each client on a case by case basis as their needs will vary. To do this you will be expected to regularly meet your customers and review their service needs.
As you will be predominantly working autonomously you will be expected to present monthly and quarterly reports detailing your activity and developments within your territory. Therefore you will also need to maintain accurate customer details along with prospective customer information to allow you to report back on trends within the industry.
As a brand ambassador acting as the face of the business you'll be expected to provide feedback on promotional programs and environmental changes to provide ideas of how to improve product and company performance in the marketplace. You'll implement new product launches, attend conferences and meetings as appropriate.
To be considered for the job a proven successful track record of performing in a similar role will be essential. Ideally you'll come from an NHS background working within Theatres and understand the procurement procedures involved but that is not essential. Existing relationships with relevant clients would also be highly advantageous. Due to the nature of the job a full, clean driving licence is a prerequisite and a company car will be provided.
