We are looking for Support Workers to work within residential services on either contract or ad-hoc shifts. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years mental health experience, ability to record observations, able to work within mulit-disciplinary setting. Although not essential it is desirable if the candidate has NVQ within Health & Social Care, computer literate and a driver.

The main role of the support worker will be to build relationships with the service user, to maintain and improve their quality of life through regular practical and social support. Staff will need to increase independence, confidence, engagement and motivation. Some of the service users require support with a range of physical health needs, staff would be expected to support them in issues relation their physical and personal care.
The main emphasis throughout all of these services is to enable people to achieve their goals, this means making time to listen to what the clients want, involving them in planing and providing their service. Much of the work is 1:1 using a key worker or a team system. Support Workers works as part of a tram with support and guidance from the Project Manager and Deputy Project Manager.
