We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Fellow in Cardiology Medicine for immediate placement in the East of England. The position is available on a full time permanent basis.

You must have full registration with the GMC or in the process of registering and continue to hold a Licence to Practice.

Core duties would include:

* The post will provide cardiology input to co-ordinate and deliver in-patient and out-patient cardiology service within the Trust. The post holder will be predominantly based at the Hospital.

* The post holder will run cardiology out-patient clinics under the supervision of one of the cardiology consultants. In addition, he/she will be required to supervise and/or assist with clinics run by cardiac specialist nurses, such as Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic, Post-MI Clinic and Post-Angioplasty Clinic.

* The post holder will actively participate in providing non-invasive cardiac services; in particular echocardiography and stress echo (training will be given).

* The post holder will participate in the day-to-day running of the cardiology in-patient service, in conjunction with the SpR and FY1 and FY2 doctors.

* The post holder will also have sessions in the cath lab.

* The post holder will participate in the full shift cardiology registrar on call rota. 9 doctors (including 2 research fellows) contribute to this rota.
