ID Medical are currently seeking experienced Trust Grade (Foundation House Officer Year Two Level) for immediate placement in an NHS Trust ranked one of the 40 best in the UK. This will be for a full or part time permanent position depending on your needs and availability.

This community Health trust provides community - the hospitals is run by Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, but some services such as diagnostics are provided by the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

Duties of the post include:

* Examining and writing up out-patient and in-patient emergency cases with responsibility for special investigation and obtaining blood, other samples and transfusions. There is also a morning phlebotomy service in operation. The duties also include assisting and performing minor and some other operations under supervision, with emergency duties. There is also active encouragement for producing clinical papers
* The post holder's primary responsibility is the day-to-day care of the patients in their allocated ward. The post holder will receive instruction in procedures and help with management from senior colleagues. He/she will be expected to know their patients in detail and to present them on ward rounds.
* The post holder will be trained in the techniques of composing discharge summaries which should be completed and sent promptly to the General Practitioners. Specific arrangements for these summaries vary with each consultant.
* An e-induction programme is arranged for new starters that must be completed within 2 weeks of commencement. Departmental inductions will take place at the beginning of each 4 month rotation.
