We are currently seeking an experienced Specialty Doctor in Trauma and Orthopaedics for immediate placement in the Shropshire area. The position is available on a full time permanent basis.

Core duties would include:

* The timetable for middle grades change every 6 months; you will therefore work with all Consultants during the year. You will work as a middle grade within the department.

* This post offers 12 Programmed Activities which includes:

* 7 fixed clinical sessions. Sessions will include outpatient clinics, inpatient surgery, day surgery, ward supervision etc.

* 1 session will be allocated to CPD

* 4 sessions allocated for "on-call", on the middle grade rota of the department on 1:7 basis.

* You will be expected to work on occasions without direct Consultant supervision but you will always be accountable to the Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon whose patients you are treating. The Consultant will retain overall responsibility for these patients at all times.

* The Specialty Doctor will be expected to play a full part in departmental weekly meetings and clinical governance activities of the department.
