We are currently seeking an experienced SHO in Trauma and Orthopaedics for immediate placement in the Wales area. The position is available on a full time permanent basis.

You must have full registration with the GMC or in the process of registering and continue to hold a Licence to Practise. Salary is dependant on location, grade and previous experience.

Core duties would include:

Clinical Duties:

* The appointee will be involved in regular pre and post-operative ward duties including day cases.
* Assist in out-patient clinics and in theatre under Consultant supervision.

Duty Commitment:

* The rota at present is 1 in 9 out of hours and 1 in 6 day time full shifts with prospective cover. This may change.

Local Postgraduate Activities:

* There are daily trauma meetings within the Department with a consultant led trauma week. Every Monday evening there is a departmental teaching in the Post graduate centre. A Journal Club meets once a month.
* There is an active Postgraduate Centre and a well stocked orthopaedic book and video library, including computer and video facilities.
