About the hospital:

Ranked highly for staff satisfaction and in a list of the Best Places to Work in the NHS in 2015, they believe their people are happier because they work for a supportive trust that values their input and ideas.
NDHT have an enviable patient satisfaction record, innovative services and cutting-edge technology.
According to many clinical targets, they rate as one of the best-performing non-Foundation Trusts in England. Their medical inpatient services at North Devon District Hospital were the first to be judged as ‘outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, who also labeled their community services ‘close to outstanding’, with inspectors wishing they lived in Devon.
Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust recognises the importance of staff health and wellbeing. Staff are at their best when they have a positive physical, social and mental state. They are there to support staff to do this and to help when things go wrong or provide extra support when it’s needed.

About the location:

World-class beaches, stunning scenery, modern dynamic cities brimming with culture and tradition, pretty seaside towns, picture postcard villages, two National Parks, five Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, coastline designated as a World Heritage Site and historic buildings and ruins. These are just some of the things that make Devon England’s most beautiful county. And it’s easy to get there by road or rail, with an international airport offering flights to and from the rest of the UK and Europe.
Barnstaple is a North Devon town some 34 miles (55 km) northwest of Exeter. The town grew up in the River Taw valley, 10 miles from the river mouth, and claims to be the oldest borough in the United Kingdom.
Barnstaple enjoys a central location in North Devon and provides shopping facilities for the whole district. The town centre retains some interesting and impressive old buildings. Butchers Row consists of ten shops with stone pilasters and an overhanging roof with iron supports. The adjoining Victorian Pannier Market with its high glass and timber roof supported on iron columns has been voted one of the top ten food markets in Britain.

All applications will be treated with the strictest of confidence
