Position -Termination of Pregnancy Clinical Team Leader - Bristol


Salary -£40,000-£45,000 per annum

Hours -Full Time (Monday - Friday)

Clinical Team Leader Role Purpose:

Our Client is looking for an experience and dedicated Termination of Pregnancy clinical team leader in their Bristol Clinic. Day-to-day, you will provide excellent clinical care and guidance to our clients, offering services such as contraception, pregnancy testing, ultrasound scanning (training provided), unplanned pregnancy consultations, abortion, vasectomy, STI testing and treatment and cervical screening with the main service of the clinic being medical and surgical terminations.

In the role, you will contribute to the smooth running of the centre on a day to day basis by overseeing all clinical processes and management of the clinical teams, being the main point of call for clinical matters and by being part of the operational management structure with the Centre. The ideal candidate will be innovative and drive forward quality in care, maintaining excellence and compliance to policies and regulatory requirements at all times.

Clinical Team Leader Core Responsibilities:

* Lead on changes in clinical practice and policy and actively support the integration of best practice * Comply with the clinical governance framework and all related activities
* Ensure appropriate cover for service delivery including flexibility to meet changes in demand. Identify team needs, both permanent and sessional; work with the Workforce Planning team to organise rotas and cover for nursing and the clinical referrals team
* Monitor and improve standards of good practice, safety, service and client care
* Monitor, develop and enforce standards of clinical care, correcting or improving performance where appropriate
* Ensure appropriate responses to handling escalated Safeguarding situations are in place, lead on safeguarding situations when present and follow up all cases to conclusion
* Develop links with the UK Clinical Managers to share best practice and support clinical rotation of nursing team
* Work with the Director of One Call and Business Performance Manager to ensure the client experience is smooth and timely and that delays are kept to a minimum

Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:

To be successful in this Termination of Pregnancy Clinical Team leader Role you will have:-

* Extensive post-qualification experience
* Up to date understanding of gynaecology practice (recent experience not essential)
* Experience of supervising/leading a team
* Experience working within a results oriented environment
* Proven experience within a high volume setting
* Some time spent in a customer service environment - preferable
* Experience within family planning or sexual and reproductive healthcare
* RN1 NMC Registration
* Pro-choice on abortion
