The Hospital is one of the most prestigious and respected private hospitals in London, specialising in complex, cancer, cardiac and neuroscience, care for both adults and children. We have a 13 bedded PICU specialising in Congenital Cardiac Surgery, Oncology, Spinal Surgery, Neurosurgery and Renal Failure.

Job Description

We have a new opportunity to join our growing PICU team as a Staff Nurse. The purpose of the role is to form part of the nursing team, to provide a high standard of holistic family centred care to the children and families.
Please note the projected salary for this role is between £32,000 - £38,000 per annum depending on experience

  
Duties & Responsibilities

•To plan, assess, implement and evaluate programmes of care for individual children in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and parents
•To communicate complex and sensitive information effectively to patients
•Support members of the ward team and ensure that all patients receive appropriate care
•To supervise and orientate learners and new staff
•To ensure documentation is completed accurately and within agreed timescales 

  
Skills & Experience

•NMC Registered Nurse (RN Adult / RN Child / RSCN)
•Experience of having worked with acute and chronically sick children
•Competent in the administration of IV drugs and management of central venous access, mechanical ventilation, tracheostomies, inotropic support, arterial lines and chest drains.
•BPLS
•We'll consider Paediatric nurses looking to convert into PICU nurses as we have the structure in place to support this conversion process.
