Endocrinology/ Diabetology and Obesity

Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Endocrinology at a Prestigious Hospital in the South West of England.

The hospital is located in a very scenic part of the UK, with excellent schools and a relaxed pace of life.

The post-holder will join a cohesive team of three consultants and one specialist nurse. All of which have a common goal of striving to provide the best care for their patients.

With a proven track record of improving their service, notable achievements in the last few years include:

Transitional clinics for young adults
“hot foot” MDT clinic
Virtual diabetes monitoring
This is an exciting time for the department with a number of planned developments, in which it is hoped this post holder will play an active role.

A specialist interest within the endocrinology/diabetology field would be actively encouraged to expand the specialities current service provision.

For new consultants the job plan for this post will include 2.5 SPAs for the first year.

Applicants are required to be on the GMC Specialist Register, or within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT/EU equivalent certification at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.This post includes a relocation package of up to £8,000 being offered by the Trust to successful candidates.
