Pulse are working on a position for a post in the Wigan area for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a new service providing CAMHS therapy treatment. All hours are considered but applicants must have prior experience in CAMHS

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Consolidate and elaborate/develop the existing skills of tier one professionals.
• Improve links between tier one practitioners and specialist child mental health services.
• Formalise supportive partnerships, networks and develop communication protocols with all agencies across all tiers.
• Develop strong working partnerships with specialist CAMHS workers ensuring responsive provision according to levels of mental health need.
• Liaise and build networks with all agencies to promote multi agency partnerships and working.
• The ability to negotiate and speak from a position of authority on child mental health issues.
• Actively promote Child Mental Health needs and services.
• Assist in the identification of child mental health training needs of multi agency partners.
• Increase accessibility to services that work with children’s mental health needs.
• To provide indirect or direct consultation/mentorship/supervision to multi-agency partners on any issues regarding child mental health/development.
• Deliver and manage a range of evidence based brief interventions on a 1:1 basis or as part of a group.
• To act as Care Co-ordinator where necessary.
• To attend, participate and occasionally chair multidisciplinary meetings.
• To work flexibly, creatively and autonomously in order to meet the needs of children, families and other professionals.
