PE Global Healthcare requires a Clinical Scientist - embryologist for one of the largest hospital groups in Qatar.

Principal Accountabilities
Performs a combination, but not necessarily all, of the following duties: - Assist Chairman in the day to day
operation of the clinical laboratories. - Monitor the work assignments of each Section/Division in order to
assure the proper functioning of all sections. - Facilitates the ordering of the supplies and materials and
ensure adequate inventories for each Section/Division - Investigates and acts as an arbitrator in matters od
dispute arising from work assignments recommends any necessary disciplinary action to the department
head through the lab director. - Acts as laboratory representative in Hospital committees if and when
required by the lab director. - Participates and assists in continuing education of the technical staff and
training program in medical technology for develops and Qatar University students. - Oversees the
implementation and documentation of quality control /assurance program. - Assures responsibilities for
maintaining department safety standards. - Perform other professional duties as required by her head of the
section and thr department head. - Responsible for management of human embryos and provides input into
clinical decisions. - Coordinates Patient information for gamete and embryo status with physicians, nurses
and laboratory personnel. -Analyzes and prepares fresh and/or frozen semen samples for insemination of
patients or oocytes retrieval, determines oocyte insemination. - Determines fertilization results, monitors
in-vitro development of cultured embryos, and evaluates embryo suitability for transfer or cryopresevation. -
Assists with and confirms transvaginal embryo transfer with physician; determines normalcy and viability of
non-transferred, extra embryos and performs cryopesevation techniques of appropriate embryos. - Performs
daily quailty control and quality assurance reviews; maintains accurate and complete records of all
procedures . - Strictly adheres to policies and procedures regarding patient/specimen identification and
patient confidentiality. - Prepares sterile media and supplies; maintanis gas, water baths and liquid nitrogen
tanks; assists in or evaluates in or evaluates the need for emergency repair of laporatory equipment;
performs calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment . - Maintains laboratory inventory; orders
equipment and supplies. - Performs other duties as assigned.

• Education:
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum: PhD degree from an accredited institution in an area of pre implantation
• Experience: Minimum: 6 years
Preferred: 10 years in all ART fields

• Required Certification or Licensure or Registration:
Not stipulated for this profession in Qatar and North America
• Language Skills: English :fluent verbal and written. Arabic: basic.
• Computer Skills: Basic to intermediate Microsoft office, Excel, Power point, Access
- Good management and communication skills. - Advanced skills in embryo
culture technique, embryo freezing and related ART procuder.

• Problem Solving / Decision Making:
- Resolve all disputes regarding shift work and allocation of duties that may occur between technical
staff. - Educate laboratory technicians about troubleshooting in laboratory instruments.
