Pulse are working closely with a client based in the Northern Counties who requires two Band 6 Occupational Therapists to join in September. The successful applicants will need to have previous experience in Paediatric settings, and work with patients with challenging behaviours and early development both verbal and non-verbal. The hours currently offered are full time.

Main Duties:
• To work collaboratively as part of an integrated team and through the use of professional skills enhance pupil’s independence and access to their curriculum or personal learning programme.
• To demonstrate effective planning so that each pupil maximises their potential.
• To establish effective working relationships with pupil’s families and the multi-professional staff, as appropriate. This includes giving advice and practical help when required.
• To be responsible for managing your own time appropriately.
• To attend case discussions, staff and departmental meetings and other relevant meetings on an internal and external basis.
• To participate in a performance management scheme that will provide personal and professional development opportunities with the intention of further raising the quality of therapy and the standards of achievement for the pupils.
• To monitor and evaluate planning, therapy and learning for your area of responsibility, providing support for colleagues.
• To collaborate on the development of educational and therapeutic strategies to meet the needs of individual pupils in order that they achieve their maximum potential.
• To demonstrate effective therapy organisation and management.
• To work in partnership with parents/carers for the purpose of giving advice and practical help both at school and at the pupil's home.
• To evaluate therapy outcomes for individual pupils, review progress and make onward referrals as necessary.
