Pulse has an opportunity for a Band 7 Permanent Speech and Language Therapist, The role is based in Surrey, working hours are Monday – Friday, 9-5, 37.5 hours per week, ASAP – Permanent Basis.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Head of Speech and Language Therapy, the Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist and the multi-disciplinary team. They will be expected to provide a speech and language therapy service to adults with communication, cognitive and swallowing problems. Offering rehabilitation in a residential setting to clients aged 16-65 years, providing intervention on an individual or group basis as required. To have a responsibility for developing SLT programmes and services for clients within Neuro Rehabilitation Services, under the guidance of the Head of Speech and Language Therapy. They will be expected to provide a highly specialist speech and language therapy service to patients who have communication and swallowing problems, as a result of acquired brain injury. Be able to provide advise to clients, their families and relevant staff on the management of dysphagia. Contributing to the monitoring and achievement of relevant standards. They will provide supervision to the Band 6 SLT within the department.
