Pulse is currently working with a social care service in Surrey who is looking to recruit candidates to several permanent vacancies at locations all over the county. Locations include Guildford, Godalming, Camberly, Oxted, Esher, Spelthorne, Addlestone, Epsom and others.

As an Occupational Therapist based in one of these teams you will be given the opportunity to work with a variety of clients who have differing needs. The clients you''l work with may experience a learning disability, physical or sensory impairment, mental health or be an older person. You will develop a range of skills enabling you to undertake frontline holistic occupational therapy practice within a social care setting, building your professional experience in major adaptations, reablement skills gain programs, moving and handling assessments with the aim of supporting our clients to live independently in the community.

You will be part of a multi skilled team which includes; social workers, occupational therapists, assistant social Care practitioners and reablement personnel. As a team they provide support to vulnerable adults and their carers in a community based setting. Part of your community based role requires you to carry out home visits within your locality area and on occasion traveling outside of the county. Some of these settings include and clients homes residential care and nursing homes.

To be considered candidates must hold a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC. Experience of working in a social care or community focused multi-disciplinary setting that provides care, support and advice to meet peoples social care needs is essential. Candidates will ideally be car drivers with access to their own vehicle.
