Pulse has a client who is looking for a Counsellor or Psychotherapist to join their team on a permanent part time basis of 25 hours per week.
The Counsellor/Psychotherapist will work as part of an experienced national team offering counselling, support and advice to children and young people, offering face to face counselling and early intervention mental health and emotional support. They will manage their own caseload and work with young people experiencing complex mental health difficulties in particular risk taking behaviours. The post holder will develop training programmes to run in schools with young people and teachers which will focus on resilience building and awareness of emotional health and wellbeing issues.
It is essential the candidate has a relevant professional qualification in Counselling, Psychotherapy at Diploma level or above or the equivalent. They should be accredited with the BACP, UKCP or equivalent or eligible to work towards accreditation with a minimum of 450 clinical hours. They must also have a minimum of 3 years experience of working with children and young people in face to face settings.
