Consultant Acute Medicine- £74,504-£100,446 Per annum plus annual leave and pension
Medacs Healthcare is currently recruiting Consultants in Acute Medicine. The positions are within some of UK's largest NHS trusts.

The post holder will provide strong clinical leadership supervising the acute medical juniors and act as a focus of good practice within AMU, SSU and Ambulatory Care.

-The appointee will work closely with the Medical admitting team of the day and will supervise junior doctors appropriately to ensure all patients are seen in a timely fashion, provide real time senior assessment of patients and assist the Medical Registrar in coordinating the flow of patients and the workload of the junior doctors.

-The appointee will ensure close liaison with general practitioners, Local Authority social services staff, health visitors, community nursing services and other relevant services in relation to patients who require on-going care, especially those discharged into the community.

-The appointee will communicate effectively with nursing and medical staff of other disciplines, ancillary workers and paramedics in the interest of achieving high quality, efficient management of patients. This will include assisting in patient flow between clinical areas, liaising with the bed managers and transfer procedures between Trust sites.

Applicants must be eligible for full GMC Registration; experience of general internal medicine is required, MRCP/FRCP or equivalent is required.
